A Sistered Birth

Hi, I'm Dayle, birth & death worker, artist & sangoma.
I am passionate about providing holistic care that honors people traveling through the sacred portals of transformation known as birth and death.

Birth Doula Services in Toronto

As a queer, person-of-color I am passionate about reclaiming the wisdom of our ancestors around birth, and that means providing birthing-people with caring companionship, like a sister!

Ancestral wisdom and evidence based studies show that people who received continuous support were more likely to have spontaneous vaginal births and less likely to have any pain medication, epidurals, negative feelings about childbirth, vacuum or forceps-assisted births, and Cesareans.

In addition, their labors were shorter by about 40 minutes and their babies were less likely to have low Apgar scores at birth.

It's my job to educate and empower you for your birth, to make you more confident and less scared about this sacred initiatory process.

As your birth doula: after our initial intro call, we will have two educational sessions for you and any other birth companion to prepare for labour. I will be available to answer your questions throughout the pregnancy. And when it comes time to deliver, I will be there with you until baby is safely delivered.

Death Doula Services in Toronto & Online

We live in a deathphobic society where the end of life is scary because it is unknown. The support I give is infused with traditional knowledge. Every person's life's end is different, and I am here to provide support, counseling, traditional Ceremony, Ritual & Active Vigiling at the end of life, or in preparation for the end of life. Its never too late to embrace the temporary nature of life and have a good death.
